The ED logo
Journal Entry: Mon Jan 16, 2006, 8:04 AM
Before i actually begin to get question about the logo that i have designed for Envisage, i thought i should write down the explanation right here. Well what the logo is, it is actually the flower that you can find blosoming from an almond tree. The reason i used this is because the shoot of an almond tree, or the tree itself is an emblem of alert, activity and readiness, it blooms in late winter and early spring ahead of the other plants, to which it is in the position to over look the events that is to come.
Having explained that, the flower symbolises in short... vision as well as to stay alert and active, it is always to have a vision for your own life, through your career, family life, relations and what have you. In design, i believe as someone who is creative as well as using visuals as a form of communication, vision plays a big role in design, you cannot just be given a brief and make things look good. You can, but the initial impact won't be as great without a vision behind each design, without a purpose. Without a vision or purpose, like anything in life, then the design is meaningless.
I hope to successfully stand for what my logo actually intends envisage to be, i wish to live up to the meaning behind the logo and to not give a false representation
